The thyme oil in the BioCrol series is extracted from Origanum onites (Turkish Oregano). Obtained through steam distillation, this thyme oil offers varying proportions of carvacrol and other beneficial phenolic compounds. As demonstrated by experimental and clinical studies, thyme oils with carvacrol content ranging from 70% to 95% exhibit antimicrobial properties and other beneficial effects.
